MHD Mixed Convection and Entropy Generation in a C-Shaped Enclosure Filled with an Electrically Conducting Fluid

Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) mixed convection and entropy generation in a C-shaped cavity filled by an electrically conducting fluid are investigated numerically using the finite volume method SIMPLE algorithm. In this work, we focus on effect of magnetic field characteristics flow, heat transfer for various values Richardson number (Ri = 0.1, 1 10), Hartmann (0 ≤ Ha 200), tilting angle (α); ranging from -45° to +45°, aspect ratio (AR 0.3, 0.5 0.7). The results show increase average Nusselt increasing (AR), whereas they decrease when increases, independently α Ri. At high number, conduction state is dominant mode regardless Ri, AR α. Moreover, total mainly due irreversibility whatever control parameters are.
